Quick to anger and very quickly to bite, be careful!! He WILL steal your wallet, or it's insides it doesn't care. Very quick in his feet and can fight VERY well. Well enough to keep Death away and take on Puss in Boots.

VERY feral in nature

"Life is suffering, why not suffer together" Meaning he will make you suffer.

WILL do his best to anger or annoy you to the point of snapping immediately. The way he approaches people is by first seeing their "bad side" because EVERYONE has one, no matter how deeply hidden it is.

How to get on his good side? You don't. He has to initiate the interest, if that doesn't happen, tough luck. (You can also bribe him with food, money or fun times.)

Is a very VERY big masochist. He loves to bleed he loves to get his guts literally rearranged but he's also a strong sadist as well. Seeing other people suffer emotionally gets him in a real good high.

Badly traumatised and can easily be triggered if you accidentally trip into the wrong topic.

Whenever he gets too close to actually dying Death will come around the corner to take him himself so he won't be reborn again.

Story:

Martin grew up protected and loved by his single mother, his sable dad had run off somewhere. He grew up near the place where puss in boots grew up, Martin watched his adventures and became a big fan of the cat to the point of mimicking him! His mother even got a nice pair of boots for him!

In its teen years it started to try and come out of its shell get out and help people with small and basic tasks, like carrying things, or picking things back up, though most of the time it was met with animosity and bullying. Scared but motivated to help Martin still went out to continue helping as much as it can!

That was... until it met Brahms.

Brahms is in itself a story of it's own I do not want to delve into on this ref. It deals a lot with my own coping and follows my own story pretty closely, so I will skip major plot points here.

At the end Martin had to run away from Brahms, running as far and as fast as he could with nothing to his name but his boots. Guilty with the fear of leaving him behind to die, fear of him running causing another to die. Martin ran and ran until it was caught by hunters for good fur.

This is where Martin started to be tossed from part of the world to the next, not really being kept as a pet more as a thing. Being stripped of everything even his boots after year long journey until it was tossed out in the middle of japan because it became "unusable" and nothing but a "burden".

In japan it was picked up by Annya (friends OC) a nekomata (cat ghost/demon) that took pity on the thing and took it in thinking he was a regular animal wanting to take care of him. After a lot of care Martin only slowly came back out of its shell feeling very at home and comfortable with annya. Slowly Martin was also pulled into the more ritualistic side of Annya and some of her work, reviving animals who she thought deserved the rest of their life... Slowly but surely Martin found himself in a circle of cats promising him 9 lives, that of a cat. 9 lives and a new start to his life.

Swept away by the intrigue of getting a new start to his life, thinking he could forget his past trauma he took upon the temptation and went through the ritual that he thought would resolve all his problems.

Surprise my boo. they didn't.

He woke up again being celebrated by the cats being one of the only to have successfully gone through the ritual, but not he was awake. He was alive. And he remembered everything. This wasn't as they promised, this felt nothing like their promises.

This was where he started to become as unhinged as he could possibly be. Did any of those cats survive? Who knows. Annya surely doesn't know as well, she was kept in the dark but not by his new self. Martin had become the purest form of utter disappointment to her, becoming a mean selfish and utterly unhinged creature that she did not know he could be.

He took lessons in sword fighting before and some ninja training (bc u gotta have that when you're in japan ;) ) ofc he'd resume his training afterwards gaining more knowledge and strength as he went on until he got too cocky about his multiple lives that he forgot about the curse that came with it.

He got too cocky on one fateful day and had a run in with death himself, who wasn't all too pleased about meeting the thing. Annoyed and angry they had a big scuffle, a fight that death himself wasn't all too proud of because it ended with him taking pity on the fool and letting it go.

Letting it go and run out of japan.

This is where his world travelling starts.

He went all over the world out of pure curiosity and to fuck up as many peoples days as he could, taking part and watching wars, learning new tricks and techniques, being tossed in one or other jail for trying to steal royal goods that were just too tempting.

He's met a few people along his travel and gained as much knowledge about fighting as it could to a point where something tugged within him, tugged him back to spain... back to puss in boots... and this is where the current story starts.
